Easy Pork Bar-B-Que Sandwiches

I got this extremly easy recipe from my friend, Kristie. It's so easy and so, so yummy!

1 large pork loin (I get the ones at Sam's). I have to cut the large ones in half and freeze the remaining one. But if you have a large crock pot, you may be able to cook the entire pork loin at once.
1 large jar of Bar-b-que sauce.
Sandwich Buns

Place the pork loin in your crock pot and cover with sauce. Cook on low for 8 hours.
Serve with your favorite bar-b-que fixins. You will have a lot of left overs. Freeze leftovers for another easy meal or two later.

I need some clarification on this one. I would think a pork loin (generally cut to be low in fat) would get tough when you cook so long. Is this something like pulled pork? or do you have to cut it up first? I was actually planning to try something like this, but with a boston butt or other fattier cut of pork. I am having trouble figuring out how it would look with a loin cut of pork. Thanks!

Sarah - We have used whole pork loin the last three times that we made it. The first time I accidently used pork tenderloin. Honestly, the tenderloin was better (but more expensive), but the pork loin works well also.

After you cook it in the crock pot all day, the pork loin does get tender. We just pull the pork while it's in the crock pot.

I'm sure that pork shoulder or boston butt would work just as well.

Just to follow up, I tried this with the pork shoulder roast and it turned out great!! Very easy too. Thanks for the tip!
